This training prepares participants for the intacs® Certified Process Expert Automotive SPICE® examination. Automotive SPICE® is a framework used to evaluate and enhance development processes in the automotive industry. It is a tailored version based on the ISO/IEC 330xx standards and is recommended by the VDA for assessing development projects at automotive OEMs and their suppliers.
During this course, you will learn about the interpretation of Automotive SPICE® processes, which are crucial for conducting assessments and implementing process improvements in system and software engineering.

The course follows the curriculum published by intacs® and utilizes the current intacs® training materials:
- Basic introduction to intacs®
- Overview of the Process Assessment Model
- Process Dimension
- Capability Dimension
- Introduction to rating scales and deriving capability level ratings
- Process improvement techniques
- Various group activities to enhance learning
The training is conducted flexibly within the given time and scope constraints to accommodate participants’ specific needs and preferences. The instructor keeps the course engaging by providing practical examples and facilitating diverse group activities.
Target Audience:
- Individuals planning to become certified assessors. Note: Certification as an intacs® Certified Process Expert Automotive SPICE® is required before advancing to the intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor Automotive SPICE®.
- Quality and project team members who need to ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE® Process Assessment Model requirements within their projects.
- Process owners and improvement team members who must ensure their organization’s processes meet Automotive SPICE® requirements.
Preconditions:
- Participants should have several years of professional experience in the automotive industry (e.g., software/system development, project management, quality management, etc.).
Certification:
- Examination fees are additional to the training price.
- The exam is administered by the VDA QMC. Zoom software is used for online examinations. The use of a webcam is mandatory.
- After passing the exam, participants must apply independently to the VDA for certification. This step is separate from the training.
- Additional fees for the exam and certification are detailed on the Website of VDA-QMC.
