Envorso builds a fully-automated software development toolchain for global-OEM
The software development teams at a global automotive company were fragmented and the tools and processes engineers were using to develop programs for connected vehicles were ineffective. Envorso set up agile processes and established a healthy engineering services team.
The company had many siloed software development teams which required manual tracking. There was no pipeline built for CI/CD and testing was disjointed. The team utilized very little automation and oftentimes engineering efforts were duplicated. This led to low-quality and lightly tested software.
Envorso’s software delivery and talent management team analyzed all the existing processes and tools as well as interviewed people at all levels who were involved in the software development life cycle (SDLC). We then used the data collected to recommend an end-to-end SDLC toolchain with best-in-class solutions such as Jira Align, Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, TestRail, UpLevel, and Slack.
We worked with existing teams to establish the staffing levels needed for each service and ensured they could provide 24/7/365 availability. Our team set up templates in Jira and established an agile release train in Jira Align. We also created automation, so that an automated toolchain pipeline could be established.
- Established a robust Engineering Services team
- Increased trained and skilled solutions engineers for the various services.
- Built a fully automated toolchain that started with Jira Align, utilized GitHub, and included full testing all the way through to delivery.
