intacs® Introduction to Hardware SPICE

The Hardware Engineering processes in the intacs® Hardware SPICE version 3.0 are the model extension to Automotive SPICE® 4.0. This PRM/PAM contains a detailed Key Concepts section, that includes methodological and technical rationales to explain all the most relevant decisions. It contains a very detailed mapping to ISO 26262:2018 (mostly, but not exclusively, to Part 5: Product development at the hardware level). It includes many examples for the BP’s implemented as non-normative notes. It includes rating rules and recommendations aligned to “Automotive SPICE® Guidelines”.

Content:

  • Introduce the HWE PRM/PAM for process experts and assessors with Automotive SPICE® PRM/PAM know-how (for participants without Automotive SPICE® know-how, an additional training module is provided)
    • Explanation of key concepts of the HWE PRM/PAM.
    • Explanation of the four HWE processes and their rationales.
  • Train assessors to understand HWE PRM/PAM
    • Expectation of the HWE PRM/PAM in practical use.
    • Some of the critical differences between hardware and software development cycles.
  • Prepare assessors to perform assessments, including the extension to hardware engineering
    • Prepare assessors to organize all phases of assessments (planning, performing, reporting).
    • Extend Automotive SPICE ® assessments to the processes defined in the HWE PRM/PAM.
  • Ensure the consistent application of the Plug-in concept (including the incorporated rating guidelines).

The training is designed to be flexible within the given time and scope constraints to address the specific needs and interests of the participants. The instructor makes the training engaging by providing practical examples from their own experience and conducting various group activities.
