Envorso adds Lincoln’s former Product Director Scott Tobin as Chief Executive Officer

Seattle WA., January 1st, 2019 – Envorso, a leading Advisory and Solutions Agency and a provider of Digital Transformation Services to elite organizations, announced the appointment of Scott Tobin as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer.

Envorso continues to go from strength to strength with the addition of Scott Tobin as its new Chief Executive officer. Scott is a strategic thinker and executive leader with over 25 years of experience driving product innovation, quality, manufacturing and supply chain logistics for Ford and Lincoln.

Most recently as Lincoln Director of Product Development, Scott spent ten years helping the brand re-establish itself as a premier luxury automobile company. He was at the helm of creating a new lineup of cars that are visually distinctive and deliver a dynamic and intuitive customer experience. During this time Scott brought over 65 vehicles to market most recently launching the award-winning Lincoln Aviator.

“At Envorso, we pride ourselves on helping customers build innovative and connected products, in a safe and secure manner,” said Adrian Balfour, Founder & Chairman of Envorso. “With the appointment of Scott as Chief Executive Officer, we continue to lead from the front with an industry leader who understands the benefits of leveraging advanced technology in product development.”

Tobin’s international automotive experience spans Asia and Europe, bringing a diverse automotive background to his position at Lincoln. Tobin joined Ford in 1989 and held a number of assignments in Powertrain Engineering and the Product Business and Strategy Office. In 1997 he was assigned to Mazda as manager of Powertrain systems for the Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute joint program launched in 1999. In late 1999, Tobin moved to Germany for Ford of Europe, where he contributed to the development of global C-car programs and led key technology development for the C1 Platform. In 2001, he was promoted to chief engineer of powertrain applications for Ford of Europe, which was based in England.

From 2003 to 2006, he was vice president of Quality for Ford of Europe. While in Europe, Tobin was also a member of Ford of Germany Supervisory Board and the European Operating Committee.

Upon his return to the US Tobin was appointed Vehicle Line Director for North American cars and crossovers. In this position, he was responsible for the Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX, Ford Taurus, Flex and Explorer, Mustang and other product development programs. His last Ford assignment was part of the company’s commitment to expand and enhance Lincoln. The Lincoln product momentum began with the all-new Lincoln MKZ midsize sedan and continues with the introduction of the recently launched Lincoln Aviator, the brand’s most advanced product. Tobin has been integral in both the experiential and technology achievements across the brand.

Tobin has been all over the world but still enjoys going back to his childhood home in Blue Lake, Michigan as well as the Knoxville Tennessee area where he also owns a home. He has two sons, Nicholas and Lucas — and they enjoy visiting the area often to boat, water-ski, ride quads and play golf.

Tobin holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross Business School.
